AWS Data Engineer Full Time Permanent

AWS Data Engineer  – Hybrid – up to 70k

Are you an experienced AWS Data Engineer?

Then this is a great opportunity for you as Pearson Carter is currently working with a leader organization within its industry. They are currently expanding their AWS Data Engineering team and looking for a specialist that has experience with IaaC (essential) but mostly strong experience with AWS, Data Lakes, Apache.

The role:

• Utilise AWS services and modern data processing technologies such as Dremio, Apache Iceberg etc. to develop analytical tools and efficient data pipelines.
• Collaborate with the team to develop, enhance, and stabilise our clients new Data Lake.
• Provide detailed insights into music streaming trends and market strategies/partnerships.
• Take initiative and independently work on legacy data source maintenance.
• Interact with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and help develop new and improved data pipelines for the data lake.

Key requirements:

• Strong experience as a Data Engineer building robust data pipelines.
• Experience developing cloud-native/serverless applications on AWS (AWS Lambda, Batch, and step functions).
• Strong Python experience.
• Understanding of SQL and Apache Airflow.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Terraform and Docker.

Salary: 

This is a permanent position and offers £45,000 – £70,000, depending on experience + hybrid working + yearly bonus + 25 days holiday.

Location:

The DevOps client has got an office in Surrey with a flexible work environment where working from home 2-3 times per week is possible.
