    About the Role

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data/CX Developer to join our Data Services team. In this role, you will work hands-on with data to produce high-quality, personalised outputs using both packaged software solutions and custom-built scripts.

    You will manage end-to-end project delivery—from client briefings and scoping through to production and final output—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with client requirements.

    While this is not a formal people management position, it includes acting team leadership responsibilities. You will step up to support day-to-day team coordination and operations when the Department Manager is absent, acting as a key point of contact for both internal stakeholders and clients.

    A strong focus on quality assurance, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency is essential to success in this role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process, manage, and transform data to generate accurate, personalised outputs
    • Scope and manage projects from client briefing through to delivery, including timelines and requirements
    • Provide day-to-day team coordination and leadership support when required
    • Perform comprehensive quality control checks on all outputs (including your own), ensuring alignment with client briefs prior to production
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
    • Develop and maintain custom scripts alongside utilising packaged software solutions
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met
    • Conduct data validation, testing, and troubleshooting across all production stages
    • Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth communication and project delivery

    About You

    You are a hands-on data professional with strong technical capability and a passion for delivering high-quality, data-driven outputs. You bring:

    • Proven experience in coding, data manipulation, and working across core data platforms
    • Solid understanding of data structures, transformation processes, automation, and basic network architecture
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
    • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
    • Clear and confident communication skills, with a strong customer focus (English is your primary language)
    • Natural leadership qualities, with the ability to step up, support your team, and coordinate workflows when needed
    • A strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement

    You are comfortable working with both packaged software and custom-built solutions, choosing the best approach to achieve optimal results.

    Additional Requirements

    • Must hold New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
    • Willingness to undergo security vetting
