Data Engineer – Remote – £70,000 – FTC or Permanent 

An established client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer on an initial contract. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising robust data pipelines, data integration solutions, and cloud-based data platforms that support business-critical systems and analytics. Working within an Agile team, you will ensure data is accurate, accessible, and secure, enabling effective reporting, insight generation, and operational decision-making. You will also champion data engineering best practices, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities 

-Supporting major finance transformation projects, with potential for future opportunities as the data function grows.

-Take ownership of the data engineering environment, building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, integrations, data warehouse/data lake solutions and reporting platforms.

-Work closely with Finance, Analytics and Technology teams and will also support ERP/finance integrations, including NetSuite.

Experience 

 Strong T-SQL and PostgreSQL

SSIS and Apache Airflow

SQL Server, SSRS, SSMS and SSAS

Power BI semantic models and DAX

Python and PowerShell

Experience with cloud platforms — AWS, and Microsoft Fabric

Salary

This role is offering a salary of up to £70,000

Location

This role is fully remote with monthly trips to the London office.
