Hybrid Back End Engineer – £35,000

Pearson Carter are working with a reputable company who provide trusted, in-depth business and communication analytics to video games and movie companies on a global scale. Their in-house development team based in Blackpool are looking to continually improve their applications and provide their global clientele with bespoke solutions to their specific, unique problems.

Responsibilities

This role is mostly backend working on their internal system and you’ll be working predominantly on their pioneering analytics software and systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing team that is constantly striving to improve analytical systems and remain at the cutting edge of technology. This role will suit a developer with a passion for video games who is ready for the challenge of working with all the data that gaming has to offer.

Experience

Essential Skills:

• PHP – 1 to 2 years’ experience.
• Laravel.
• Solid understanding of MySQL.
• HTML & CSS.
• Version Control – Git preferable.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript – We mainly use jQuery but exposure to Vue/React is welcome.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working with large data sets.
• Symfony Knowledge.
• Linux Server Experience.
• API integration experience – Social Media platforms in particular.

Salary + Benefits

They offer an excellent salary up to £35,000.

Location

The company has an office based in Blackpool and you’ll be expected on-site twice a week; three days remote working.
