     The Project manager will be responsible for the day-to-day activities related to project organisation, management of multiple projects throughout the full project lifecycle, site coordination, materials ordering, materials planning, installation, and training planning. Reporting to the Projects & Innovation Director and attending regular project meeting to ensure the smooth running of the installations.

     

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Scheduling; assigning staff; allocating resources; assessing risk and its management; ensuring all goods are available and ready for each project, coordinating the various components which contribute to the project as a whole to ensure they are being delivered on time; ensuring that deadlines are met; and updating staff and keeping all interested parties in the project informed of progress and any issues which may arise, checking project costs and margins are maintained. The role also includes responsibilities for arranging product and technical training. 

     

    Working alongside the project, service and production managers to ensure delivery and completion of projects on time and budget.

    • Meeting with top management and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs

    • Day to day management of system projects.

    • Developing detailed project plans to guide clients, staff members and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements

    • Ordering of stock and parts for systems projects.

    • Organising sub-contractors required for project work and installations.

    • Ensuring all employees and sub-contractors meet site H&S requirements

    • Ensuring RAMS are submitted and approved prior to commencement of work

    • Ensuring all sub-contractors submit RAMS prior to commencement of work

    • Ensuring all employees and sub-contractors have had necessary site inductions

    • Organising the build of project equipment in readiness for installations.

    • Liaising with the service department to plan and organise workforce for builds and installations.

    • Liaising with Software team to plan and organise workforce for software builds, installation and training

    • Liaising with the project coordinator for weighbridge installations related to projects.

    • Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery

    • Organising delivery of equipment to site for install, ensuring stock is accounted for.

    • Managing documents for issue to installation teams.

    • Compiling and submitting project status reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders

    • Compiling and managing documentation to fulfil client requirements. • Liaising with clients to manage installation schedules.

    • Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation

    • Investigate slippage and refine processes.

    • Carry out site completion visits for sign off/handover documentation.

    • Liaising with Suppliers technical support to identify and rectify hardware issues.

    • Organising Product training for clients’ staff.

    • Liaise with the compliance officer to ensure all site safety requirements are met, e.g. CSCS, site supervisors, insurances etc.

    • Checking project costs and margins are maintained.
