Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Architect- Malta (On-Site)

Location: Malta
Salary: Up to €65,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Relocation: Candidates must be based in Malta or within the EU and willing to relocate to Malta

We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Technical Architect to join a growing consultancy environment in Malta. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a technically strong professional who can design, architect, and deliver complex D365 F&O solutions while engaging directly with clients and supporting pre-sales activities.

You will play a key role in shaping technical strategy, leading solution design, and ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple D365 F&O implementations.

• Act as the technical authority for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations and upgrades

• Design, architect, and review customisations, integrations, and extensions across D365 F&O

• Remain hands-on with development, including X coding, extensions, and performance optimisation

• Work across all D365 F&O modules, providing technical oversight regardless of functional area

• Define and enforce best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines

• Lead and contribute to DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, build & release management, and environment strategy

• Collaborate closely with functional consultants, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions

• Support pre-sales activities, including solution design, technical scoping, effort estimation, and client presentations

• Act as a client-facing technical advisor, building trust and communicating complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

• Mentor and guide developers and junior technical resources

• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with Microsoft best practices

• 6 years’ experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, currently operating at Technical Architect level

• Strong hands-on experience with X development, extensions, and customisation frameworks

• Proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end D365 F&O technical solutions

• Solid experience with Azure DevOps, including version control, build pipelines, and release management

• Broad exposure to all D365 F&O modules due to the technical nature of the role

• Experience with integrations, data migration, and performance optimisation

• Strong understanding of D365 F&O architecture and lifecycle services (LCS)

• Experience with the Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages/Portals

• Exposure to Azure services and integration patterns

• Previous consultancy experience

• Strong client-facing and communication skills

• Ability to balance technical delivery with commercial and client needs

• Comfortable contributing to pre-sales and solution design discussions

• Proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently

• Mentoring mindset with the ability to lead by example

• Candidates must be based in Malta or within the EU and willing to relocate to Malta

• Preference for European candidates, though exceptional profiles from outside the EU may be considered within salary constraints

• Salary up to €65,000 per annum
