Principal AI & Data Architect

The Principal AI & Data Architect is responsible for leading the design and delivery of advanced data and AI-driven solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Dynamics 365, and the Power Platform.

This role has been established to strengthen the organisation’s data and AI architecture capability, supporting the successful delivery of complex data projects while enhancing pre-sales effectiveness. The position plays a critical role in helping grow revenue through solution-led engagements and reducing delivery risk by ensuring robust, scalable, and future-ready architectures.

• Demonstrated expertise architecting enterprise-scale data and AI solutions within the Microsoft technology stack.
• Proven ability to lead engagements and present complex solutions to executive audiences.
• Strong business requirements analysis capability with a focus on simplifying delivery and minimising unnecessary development.
• Pre-sales experience, including architecting, authoring, and presenting solutions involving large-scale data migration, integration platforms, advanced analytics, and AI adoption.
• Excellent presentation, storytelling, and demonstration skills.
• Expertise in business process mapping, modelling, and documentation.
• Experience establishing architectural governance to reduce delivery risk.

• Act as Design Authority for AI and Data architectures
• Lead pre-sales engagements, workshops, and solution shaping
• Architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure data platforms and AI solutions
• Provide governance and technical oversight to reduce delivery risk
• Own architecture and technical documentation
• Define standards, patterns, and reusable assets
• Mentor delivery teams and support product innovation

• Salary up to £110k
• Home-based working with client site travel

• 5% Bonus
