THE ROLE:

Senior AI Engineer

Location

• Adelaide, SA (Fully Onsite)
• Maximum one WFH day per week

Salary

• 130k–150k Super
• Candidates with around 5 years’ AI experience should expect the lower end of the range
• Some flexibility available for exceptional candidates

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test AI-enabled software components in Java
• Integrate and deploy advanced AI models into production systems
• Collaborate with Data Science and DevOps teams to build scalable AI capabilities
• Develop cloud-native applications within AWS
• Build and maintain APIs and data storage solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and lead small technical teams
• Ensure AI solutions are robust, scalable and production-ready

No people management responsibilities.

THE CANDIDATE:

Must Have

• 5 years’ commercial AI engineering experience (8 years ideal)
• Strong commercial Java development background
• Experience integrating LLMs and Generative AI into production software
• Experience delivering large-scale software solutions
• Strong understanding of machine learning and neural networks
• AWS experience
• Australian Citizenship with eligibility for NV1 Security Clearance
