Senior Data Engineer

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help scale a modern, cloud-native
data platform powering analytics, operational insights, and AI-driven products
across a rapidly growing technology ecosystem.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on designing reliable,
scalable, analytics-ready data foundations using Snowflake, Python, Sigma
Computing, and Azure. You’ll play a key role in shaping how data is modelled,
governed, and leveraged across both traditional BI and emerging AI use cases.
You’ll work closely with product, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver
trusted, high-performance datasets and enable real-world AI capabilities using
Snowflake Cortex and native AI tooling.
This is not a traditional BI reporting role and not a pure machine learning
position. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building robust data platforms
that sit at the intersection of analytics, engineering, and AI enablement.
What You’ll Be Doing
– Designing and maintaining scalable batch and incremental data pipelines
– Building analytics-ready dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas)
– Optimising Snowflake performance, scalability, governance, and cost efficiency
– Developing Python-based ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes
– Enabling AI-driven use cases using Snowflake Cortex and native AI capabilities
– Integrating structured and semi-structured data into curated analytics datasets
– Supporting self-service analytics through Sigma’s live-query architecture
– Implementing CI/CD, testing, observability, and monitoring for data workflows
– Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into trusted data
products
– Contributing to data platform architecture, standards, and engineering best practices
What We’re Looking For: Essential
– 5 years’ experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering
– Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake in production environments
– Advanced SQL skills and strong dimensional data modelling capability
– Solid Python experience for data engineering and automation workflows
– Experience working within Azure-based cloud environments
– Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, governance, and cost optimisation in
modern data platforms
– Ability to work autonomously and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have
– Experience with Snowflake Cortex or AI-enabled data workflows
– Experience with Sigma Computing or similar cloud-native BI platforms
– Exposure to semi-structured or unstructured data (JSON, text, embeddings, etc.)
– Experience integrating data services with applications using .NET / C#
– Experience with modern orchestration or DevOps tooling
