Senior Full Stack Developer

Senior Full Stack Developer – Hybrid in Sunderland- Up to £60,000

Tech Stack : PHP / Laravel / React

Location: Hybrid in Sunderland.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain frontend and backend components of our web application, the Great Teaching Toolkit.
• Collaborate with the product manager and UX/UI designer to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Architect and implement scalable, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Contribute to the setup and management of our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
• Lead a small team of developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment based on Agile methodology and promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation.
• Manage week-to-week workload during sprints, allocate tasks, and ensure deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and frameworks, and propose improvements to our tech stack

Requirements:

• Is an experienced full-stack developer.
• Has a strong proficiency in frontend and backend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and Symfony PHP framework.
• Is familiar with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices architecture.
• Understands DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and serverless architecture and functions (e.g. AWS Lambda).
• Is a good communicator, able to collaborate with a product manager from early development, right through to leading technical team on development work.
• Has excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with uncertainty.
• Is curious – you should be comfortable saying “I don’t know”, but crucially should be happy to learn and find out

Salary

They offer an excellent salary of up to £60,000.

Hybrid work in Sunderland.
