Senior IT Project Manager - Hybrid

Senior Project Manager – up to £70,000 – Birmingham (Hybrid)

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a rapidly growing managed services provider with offices in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven project professional with strong MSP, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune experience to lead complex service transition projects across multiple business units.

You’ll play a key role in delivering IT transformation and managed service onboarding projects, working closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and PMO teams. This is a hands-on, client-facing role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of service delivery from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT service delivery and transition projects across managed service portfolios.
• Coordinate onboarding and migration activities involving Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and technical teams to ensure smooth project handovers and delivery.
• Support and guide other project managers, providing leadership on complex transition projects.
• Engage directly with clients, managing expectations, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Identify and implement improvements in project processes, governance, and documentation.
• Own risk, issue, and escalation management across all assigned projects.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5 years’ experience in IT Project Management, with a focus on managed service transitions (including MSP-to-MSP projects).
• Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with:
  • Microsoft 365 (migrations, licensing)
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Intune device management
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as Halo is desirable.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure and endpoint security (MFA, compliance).
• Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and business units.
• Proven ability to lead customer-facing projects, including site visits and stakeholder management.
• Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent Project Management certification required.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting public or private sector organisations.
• Knowledge of ITIL principles and SLA-driven delivery models.
• Background in managing or mentoring junior project managers.
• Commercial awareness and experience constructing ROI or business cases.
