Senior Software Engineer (Backend / DevOps) Brisbane CBD Hybrid

Pearson Carter are currently working with a global mobile and IoT security platform powering enterprise-grade infrastructure used by Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Operating at the intersection of software engineering, cloud, and DevOps, they build highly scalable and secure backend systems for mission-critical environments.

Due to growth, they are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to work across backend development, DevOps, and production support, helping to build, scale, and maintain high-performance distributed systems.

This is a hands-on role involving backend engineering, customer integration, and infrastructure support, working closely with engineering, DevOps, and customer teams to ensure platform reliability and performance.

They offer up to 160K Super Equity, hybrid working (3 days office / 2 WFH), and the opportunity to work on globally used security infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
Integrate platform APIs and support customer engineering teams
Investigate and resolve complex production and infrastructure issues
Design and maintain scalable backend services
Develop tools, tests, and automation for system reliability
Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams on platform performance
Provide technical support and guidance to enterprise customers

Experience:
10 years software engineering experience
Strong Linux development experience
C/C, Golang, and Node.js experience required
Strong Bash scripting and debugging skills
Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins preferred)
Kubernetes / containerised environments experience (2 years)
DevOps and production systems experience

Location
Brisbane CBD (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 WFH)

Salary
Up to 160,000 Super Equity
