Senior Systems Engineer up to €55,000 Malta, Hybrid

Pearson Carter are currently working with an exciting company that are specialists in the development of predictive statistical models for global sports betting markets! They work on a global basis and are now looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of critical systems and services whilst adhering to all pre-defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Lead & participate in tech projects, initiatives and Change Management, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations of new systems.
• Identify opportunities for Continual Service Improvement by improving automation, system and process efficiency and implementation of new technologies
• Deliver technical training or knowledge transfer sessions as required and in line with business requirements.
• Collaborate with team lead and all stakeholders to ensure technical support and implementation aligns with overall goals of the company
• Ensure all Corporate and Security policies and procedures are adhered to.

Experience:

• Extensive experience in AWS covering EC2, S3, RDS, VPS, Route 53, ECS
• Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code tool (IaC)
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, Go, PowerShell)
• Containers & Orchestration: Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting)
• Monitoring & Observability: Familiarity with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or similar

Salary:

They offer a great salary up to €55,000 plus benefits.

Location

The client is based in Malta and they are looking for someone to be in office 4x per week.
