Senior Software Engineer (Medical Device / C) 130,000–150,000 Perth

Pearson Carter are currently working with a VC-backed Australian MedTech start-up focused on developing cutting-edge biosensor technology.

Due to growth, they are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead technical delivery and mentor a small engineering team working on a regulated medical device platform.

They offer an excellent salary of 130K–150K relocation support (Sydney/Melbourne) long-term contract opportunity with extension.

Responsibilities:
Lead design and development of medical device software systems
Develop high-quality C/C applications in Linux environments
Ensure compliance with IEC 62304 and medical device standards
Build and maintain OTA update, BLE/NFC, and secure device workflows
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership
Collaborate with hardware, clinical, and product teams

Experience:
10 years software engineering experience
Strong C/C and Linux development background
Experience in SaMD / medical device environments
Exposure to IEC 62304 / ISO 13485 (or similar regulated environments)
Strong system design, testing, and documentation skills
Proven experience delivering products to market

Salary
They offer an excellent salary package: 130,000–150,000

Location
Perth (preferred) with flexibility for Sydney or Melbourne (hybrid / relocation support available)
