Software Engineer

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Software Engineer, ideally based in Brisbane, QLD, with opportunities to work from home up to two days per week.

You will contribute to designing, developing, testing, and maintaining our suite of in-house software applications.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with leadership, development and product teams to build technology solutions, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and participating in code review processes.

The role also involves implementing best practices in software development and identifying opportunities to optimise performance and scalability.

Your Qualifications

– 3 years of professional experience building and maintaining web applications using Django and Python (required).

– Deep understanding of the Django REST Framework (DRF) and experience managing complex database migrations and ORM optimisations.

– Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and design patterns

– Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically managing services such as GKE, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Build (required).

– Experience with Docker and managing workloads in Kubernetes.

– Experience implementing automated deployments using ArgoCD and version control systems (Git).

– Problem-solving and analytical abilities with a focus on clean and efficient code – Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across technical & non-technical teams

– Experience in developing AI chat bots & AI guided workflows

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Bonus Points
