Senior Solution Architect (Crypto Exchange / FIX API)

Pearson Carter are currently working with a global fintech and crypto trading platform operating across multiple regions, including Australia, Singapore, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. They are building high-performance institutional trading infrastructure powering forex and crypto markets at global scale.

Due to growth, they are hiring a Senior Solution Architect to own the institutional connectivity layer and FIX API strategy across their exchange platform, leading architecture across trading, market data, matching, and risk systems.

They offer a highly competitive salary package of up to 240K AUD equivalent (region dependent), hybrid working, and international exposure across global engineering hubs.

Responsibilities:
Lead architecture design for institutional trading and exchange systems
Own FIX API strategy, design, and optimisation (FIX 4.4)
Design high-concurrency, low-latency distributed systems
Oversee trading, matching, clearing, market data, and risk systems
Lead cross-team engineering delivery across multiple regions
Ensure compliance, scalability, and performance of core platforms

Experience:
10 years software engineering / architecture experience
Strong FIX protocol expertise (essential)
Experience in crypto exchange or trading venue environments
Strong Java, C or Go background
Experience designing distributed, high-performance systems
Strong leadership across cross-functional engineering teams
Mandarin English required

Salary
They offer an excellent salary package: up to 240,000 AUD equivalent (depending on location)

Location
Singapore / Shanghai / Hong Kong / Melbourne (Hybrid with travel required)
