Solutions Engineer
Job Overview:
We deliver next-level SaaS data protection through a vendor-independent cloud platform, providing secure and reliable backup and recovery services. Our platform offers customers an immutable historical archive of their primary data in systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Azure AD, Dynamics 365, and Zendesk.
We are seeking a dynamic Solutions Engineer to join our team in Boston or New York. You’ll collaborate with a global team, guiding customers through advanced data protection and cyber threat recovery strategies while helping shape the product roadmap.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations virtually and in person.
Manage and implement Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure successful technical closure.
Maintain sales and project tracking with meticulous documentation.
Support lead-generation initiatives, including events, webinars, and user groups.
Collaborate with customers and partners to translate business objectives into technical solutions.
Provide technical expertise on data protection through independent consultation.
Partner with the sales team to secure new clients and partners.
Offer pre-sales support to customers evaluating backup solutions.
Work closely with product management to relay customer feedback and insights.
Experience:
3–5 years of proven experience in sales engineering or technical sales (pre-sales experience is a plus).
Familiarity with OEM, channel, and vendor ecosystems.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment as a motivated self-starter.
Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple decision-makers and drive proposal outcomes.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Exchange, OneDrive, Groups, Teams, SharePoint, Dynamics) and strong understanding of Microsoft Azure (Power BI, Power Apps, DevOps).
Familiarity with other cloud-based SaaS applications is highly desirable.
Knowledge of MEDDIC or MEDPICC methodologies is beneficial.
Willingness to travel 50–75%.
