About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Full Stack Web Developer to join a growing team focused on building and improving modern digital platforms. This is a varied role where you’ll work across customer-facing websites, eCommerce platforms, internal business tools, and custom web applications.

You’ll be involved throughout the development lifecycle, from understanding business requirements and proposing technical solutions through to development, deployment, and ongoing optimisation. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership of their work, and can balance clean code with great user experiences.

This role offers the opportunity to influence how digital products are built while working across a broad range of technologies in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain WordPress websites and custom web applications
• Develop and enhance WooCommerce functionality including custom eCommerce features and integrations
• Build and maintain Laravel applications, internal portals, dashboards, and business tools
• Develop responsive front-end interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern styling frameworks
• Integrate websites and applications with APIs, databases, payment platforms, and third-party services
• Improve website performance, usability, accessibility, and overall user experience
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn business requirements into practical digital solutions
• Contribute to code quality, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement across development projects
• Support deployments, version control, and ongoing maintenance of production systems

About You

• 3 years’ commercial experience in web development or full stack software development
• Strong experience with PHP including WordPress and Laravel
• Experience building and customising WooCommerce websites and eCommerce functionality
• Solid front-end development skills using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, or similar modern frameworks
• Experience integrating REST APIs, databases, and third-party platforms
• Good understanding of responsive design principles and modern UI/UX best practices
• Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases
• Familiar with Git and modern development workflows
• Basic understanding of hosting environments, deployments, and website infrastructure
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with designers, stakeholders, and other developers
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend improvements rather than simply completing tasks

Nice to Have

• Experience with React, Next.js, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience working with cloud hosting platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Exposure to Docker or containerised development environments
• Knowledge of website security, SEO, and performance optimisation
• Experience building custom dashboards, internal tools, or business applications
• Experience working in Agile environments
