About the Role

Were seeking an experienced AWS Consultant to join a growing technology team in Brisbane, helping organisations design, implement and optimise modern cloud solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong cloud professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, working directly with clients and delivering cloud transformation projects. Youll play a key role in helping businesses leverage AWS to improve scalability, security, performance and operational efficiency.

Working across cloud architecture, infrastructure automation and migration initiatives, youll collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver practical solutions aligned with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud solutions using Amazon Web Services.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives and support the modernisation of existing applications and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain cloud architectures aligned with AWS best practices.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Configure and optimise AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM and RDS.
• Identify opportunities to improve cloud performance, reliability, security and cost management.
• Work directly with clients to understand technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Support cloud security, governance, monitoring and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to improve deployment processes and automation.
• Produce technical documentation and provide guidance on cloud best practices.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in an AWS-focused cloud engineering or consulting role.
• Strong understanding of AWS architecture and core cloud services.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Knowledge of networking, security, identity and access management within AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or containerised workloads is advantageous.
• Understanding of cloud monitoring, disaster recovery and cost optimisation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate, Solutions Architect Professional or SysOps Administrator are highly regarded.
