Join a global technology team and help design, secure and modernise cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure. This role offers hands-on ownership across cloud networking, security, automation, infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD.

Continued investment in its global technology environment has created an opportunity for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join its Brisbane team. Youll work alongside technical specialists across multiple regions, supporting globally connected infrastructure and business-critical cloud projects.

3. Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support secure, resilient infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Manage cloud networking across VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing, DNS and private connectivity.
• Support VPNs, AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute and hybrid network environments.
• Configure and maintain firewalls and cloud-native security controls, including Palo Alto, security groups, NACLs and NSGs.
• Develop and improve infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK and TypeScript.
• Contribute to cloud migrations, platform modernisation and infrastructure automation.
• Support CI/CD platforms, monitoring solutions and vulnerability-remediation activities.
• Investigate complex infrastructure, networking, security and performance issues.
• Collaborate with global technology teams across APAC, Europe and the Americas.

4. Experience

To be successful, youll bring:

• Five or more years of commercial cloud or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on capability across AWS, Azure or multi-cloud environments.
• Advanced cloud networking knowledge covering VPCs, VNets, DNS, subnets, routing and private connectivity.
• Experience configuring enterprise firewalls and cloud security controls.
• Commercial infrastructure-as-code experience using AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting CI/CD environments using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or comparable platforms.
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across multiple infrastructure layers.
• Clear communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• A relevant qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Highly regarded:

• Palo Alto firewall experience.
• Strong AWS CDK and TypeScript capability.
• Hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud project delivery.
• Knowledge of zero-trust architecture, network segmentation and private networking.
• AWS Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience with CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus and related observability tools.

6. Location

This position is based in Brisbane, Queensland, with hybrid working available.

Youll collaborate with technical teams across APAC, Europe and the Americas, so confidence working across international teams, cultures and time zones will be important.
