Control Systems Engineer Ignition SCADA Brisbane

Company

Take ownership of varied automation projects with a specialist engineering consultancy delivering solutions across mining, heavy industry and utilities. Youll join a collaborative Queensland team, developing your PLC and Ignition SCADA expertise through projects from initial design to commissioning.

Responsibilities

Design and develop PLC, HMI and SCADA solutions that improve plant reliability and performance.

Take projects through design, programming, testing and site commissioning.

Produce functional specifications, test documentation and operating manuals.

Work with clients and multidisciplinary engineers to translate operational requirements into practical control solutions.

Troubleshoot systems and contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvement.

Experience

Essential:

Five or more years of control systems design and development experience.

At least two years of hands-on Ignition SCADA experience.

PLC programming and fault-finding experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens or Schneider platforms.

A degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.

Clear communication skills and confidence working with clients and project teams.

Advantageous:

Citect/Plant SCADA or FactoryTalk View experience.

SQL database integration, Python scripting and industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT or EtherNet/IP.

Experience delivering projects in mining, heavy industry or utilities.

Location

Brisbane, Queensland. Your role will combine engineering design and development with client-site work and commissioning as projects require.
