Data Business Analyst AI Strategy & Roadmap Contract

Pearson Carter is partnering with an Australian technology consultancy seeking a Data Business Analyst for a client engagement. Youll assess the organisations data capabilities and help shape its AI strategy, turning stakeholder insights into practical recommendations and a prioritised roadmap.

Responsibilities

Lead stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions to understand business goals, challenges and data requirements.

Assess current data capabilities, governance, processes and maturity to identify gaps and opportunities.

Identify AI and automation use cases that address business needs and deliver measurable value.

Develop recommendations and a prioritised AI roadmap, documenting risks, dependencies and next steps.

Present findings through clear executive reports and presentations to support investment decisions.

Experience

Essential:

Strong Business Analysis experience across data governance, analytics, reporting or data management.

Confident workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams.

Experience developing strategies, roadmaps or advisory recommendations.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly to senior executives.

Desirable:

Exposure to AI, Generative AI or Machine Learning.

Consulting, data strategy or transformation experience.

Experience assessing data maturity or operating models.

Salary

Flexible contract rate depending on experience.

Monthly rolling contract with an immediate start. Youll have direct input into the clients AI priorities and technology roadmap, with a streamlined one-to-two-stage interview process.

Location

On-site at the clients premises. City and state to be confirmed.
