FIFO Level 2/3 IT Support Engineer 6080 Per Hour Super

Take your infrastructure support experience into a large-scale Western Australian mining environment. Youll work hands-on across desktop, networking, wireless, servers and site technology while enjoying excellent camp facilities, accommodation and meals.

This is an initial three-month contract with strong potential to extend based on performance.

2. Company

Youll join an established technology services provider supporting a major Australian mining organisation. The environment is operationally critical, technically varied and ideal if you enjoy solving practical infrastructure problems while working independently on site.

3. Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to users across a remote mining operation.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, Windows environments, networking, wireless communications and site infrastructure.
• Support server, storage and enterprise technologies, including exposure to Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS and Pure Storage.
• Diagnose incidents, complete technical maintenance and escalate complex problems to specialist teams.
• Maintain clear documentation and deliver dependable customer service within a fast-paced operational environment.

4. Experience

You will need:

• Previous FIFO experience within mining, resources, construction or another remote-site environment.
• Strong Level 2/3 IT support experience across desktop, networking, communications and infrastructure.
• Practical troubleshooting skills across Windows devices, servers, switches and wireless environments.
• The confidence to work independently and communicate effectively with site users and wider technical teams.
• Availability to commence quickly and work within demanding remote-site conditions.

Highly advantageous:

• Experience with Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage and enterprise wireless technology.
• Exposure to mining technology and operational environments.
• Knowledge of OT systems and site communications.
• Relevant Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA or ITIL certifications.

5. Salary

Youll receive:

• 6080 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience.
• Accommodation, meals and camp facilities while on site.
• An initial three-month contract with potential extension based on performance.
• Exposure to a large enterprise mining environment and a broad technology stack.

6. Location

This is a FIFO position supporting a remote mining site in Western Australia.

You must be comfortable travelling to site, working within a rostered environment and operating in hot, physically demanding conditions. Previous experience adapting to remote-site life is essential.
