An established Microsoft-focused software business is looking for a Lead Business Central Engineer to join its growing product development team. This is an opportunity for an experienced BC professional who enjoys staying hands-on while also influencing technical strategy, driving innovation, and supporting a team of talented developers.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a key role in the ongoing development of a market-leading Business Central solution, helping to define best practices, improve delivery standards, and explore the use of AI-driven development approaches.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as a senior technical authority across the Business Central development function
• Building and enhancing complex AL extensions and custom solutions
• Driving architecture decisions and platform improvements
• Supporting integrations with external applications and Microsoft technologies
• Coaching developers and promoting engineering excellence
• Improving testing, deployment processes, and development workflows
• Leveraging AI tools and automation to increase development efficiency
• Collaborating with stakeholders across product, engineering, and the wider business

What They're Looking For

• Extensive Dynamics 365 Business Central development experience
• Strong AL development and customisation skills
• Deep understanding of Business Central finance processes
• Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring developers
• Knowledge of integrations, APIs, and modern development practices
• Commercial exposure to AI-powered development tools
• Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities
