Company

Pearson Carter is partnering with a growing national telecommunications provider expanding its Brisbane development team. Youll build integrations, modernise business systems and automate customer services, with real ownership and input into technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and third-party API integrations connecting customer, network and operational systems.
• Automate service delivery, appointment management, fault-ticket workflows and customer notifications.
• Extend and modernise an established C#/.NET Framework CRM alongside a growing Python backend.
• Design reliable workflows that handle external API failures and keep data consistent across systems.
• Own features from design through production, working directly with network, support and operations teams.

Experience

Essential:

• Commercial software development experience appropriate to mid-level or senior positions.
• Strong Python and/or C#/.NET skills. You can be stronger in one, with a willingness to work across both.
• Experience with REST APIs, third-party integrations and relational databases.
• Comfort working in Linux and using AI coding tools, with sound judgement when reviewing their output.
• Ability to solve problems independently and explain technical decisions clearly.

Advantageous:

• Telecommunications, networking or service provisioning experience.
• Django, FastAPI, Vue or legacy .NET Framework modernisation.
• Docker, CI/CD, Ansible or Salesforce integrations.
• Experience building with LLM APIs, agents or MCP.

Salary

• Mid-Level Software Engineer: 120,000125,000.
• Senior Software Engineer: 150,000.

Youll also benefit from hybrid working, training and conference budgets, and the opportunity to influence tooling and architecture within a small team. Youll join five developers, a Dev Lead and two UX/UI specialists, with a short distance between delivering code and seeing its impact.

Location

Brisbane, Queensland, with a hybrid three/two split between office and home.
