Senior Data Strategist / Analyst 53,500 Remote Working

Pearson Carter are currently working with a well-established UK organisation that is continuing to develop its Data & Insights capability. They are looking for a Senior Data Strategist / Analyst to join their growing team and help shape how data is used to drive strategic and operational decision-making.

This is a hands-on senior role combining data strategy, analytics, business analysis and stakeholder engagement. Youll work across the organisation to understand requirements, improve data quality and capture, develop decision-ready insights and establish effective data standards and practices.

They offer a salary of up to 53,500, predominantly remote working and the opportunity to play a key role in developing a modern Microsoft data estate.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of organisation-wide data strategies.
  • Collect, analyse and interpret data to deliver actionable insights.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify data requirements and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and develop data models, dashboards and reports using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Work across the full data lifecycle from ingestion through to analytics and insight.
  • Develop efficient data loading, transformation and integration processes.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security and lineage.
  • Establish common data definitions, metrics, standards and best practices.
  • Support the optimisation of Microsoft Fabric costs and capacity.
  • Apply statistical analysis, predictive analytics and machine learning where appropriate.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering and training sessions.
  • Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable insights.

Experience:

  • Strong experience in a Data Analyst, Data Strategist, Senior Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Excellent Power BI skills, including data modelling, DAX and visualisation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dataverse and Dynamics 365 from a data perspective.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, semantic layers, data quality and lineage.
  • Experience designing end-to-end data solutions.
  • Experience managing and optimising Microsoft Fabric costs.
  • Understanding of data integration across Microsoft 365, Dynamics, Azure and third-party systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into meaningful data solutions.
  • Experience working with statistical analysis, predictive analytics or machine learning.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable:

  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.
  • Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification.
  • Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.
  • Experience with R / RStudio or equivalent analytical tools.
  • Microsoft Customer Voice experience.
  • Experience within the charity sector.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience with data governance, architecture and security across Dataverse and Power Platform.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection requirements.
  • Experience designing and delivering workshops and training.

Salary & Benefits

  • Up to 53,500

Location

The Senior Data Strategist / Analyst role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to the organisation's Central London office or other UK locations when required.
