Company

Take ownership of challenging power systems projects with an established engineering consultancy supporting utilities, infrastructure and heavy industry. Joining its growing Brisbane team, youll combine technical design with practical site involvement and help clients improve reliability, safety and operational performance.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical designs, drawings, equipment specifications and technical reports that turn client requirements into practical solutions.

Conduct investigations, studies and detailed analysis of industrial, mining and utility power systems.

Take projects from concept through commissioning, including site data collection, equipment configuration, testing and troubleshooting.

Manage project schedules and budgets, lead small teams and collaborate directly with clients, suppliers and installation contractors.

Support proposals and quotations while coaching junior engineers and strengthening the teams technical capability.

Experience

Essential:

A degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in industrial power systems.

Strong power system design and analysis skills, supported by practical field experience.

Experience preparing drawings, specifications, reports, scopes of work and other technical documentation.

The ability to manage small project teams and communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders.

RPEQ registration, or progress towards obtaining it.

Permanent working rights in Australia.

An advantage:

Five or more years of experience in power system analysis and design.

Significant experience using PTW and/or ETAP.

Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.

Experience designing industrial high-voltage networks, protection systems, earthing and lightning protection.

Exposure to a range of heavy industries.

Salary

130,000160,000, depending on experience.

Youll gain exposure to varied technical projects, direct client engagement and opportunities to lead and mentor. The role offers a mix of detailed engineering design and practical commissioning work, giving you ownership across the project lifecycle.

Location

Brisbane, Queensland permanent, fully on-site position.

Your work will combine office-based engineering with project site involvement for investigations, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning.
