THE COMPANY
Pearson Carter is partnering with a well-established Microsoft Solutions Partner specialising in Dynamics 365 Business Central, Customer Engagement and the wider Microsoft technology stack.
Following continued growth and an increasing number of complex customer projects, the business is strengthening its quality function and looking for an experienced QA professional to take a lead role across its delivery operation.
The organisation has a close-knit team of around 60 employees and works with customers across multiple industries and international markets. You'll have the opportunity to work within a growing Microsoft Partner where your input can directly shape how projects are delivered and how quality is measured.
THE ROLE
As Senior QA Lead, you will take ownership of the testing strategy across a portfolio of Dynamics 365 Business Central projects.
This is a senior, hands-on role combining testing with leadership and process ownership. You'll be responsible for establishing appropriate test approaches, managing quality throughout the delivery lifecycle and helping project teams identify and resolve issues before they impact customers.
You'll work closely with Business Central consultants, developers, project managers and customers, while also helping to mentor other members of the QA team and drive the adoption of more efficient testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Own QA strategy and testing approach across multiple Business Central projects
- Plan and execute functional, regression, integration and UAT testing
- Review project requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios
- Take ownership of defect management from identification through to resolution
- Establish and maintain QA standards, processes and documentation
- Work closely with developers and consultants to investigate and resolve complex defects
- Provide QA input throughout the full implementation and release lifecycle
- Introduce improvements to testing methodologies, tooling and reporting
- Identify opportunities to increase test automation and improve testing efficiency
- Support release readiness and provide quality sign-off where appropriate
- Mentor and support junior members of the QA function
- Communicate testing progress, risks and issues to project stakeholders
- Contribute to wider improvements across the organisation's delivery methodology
THE CANDIDATE
We're looking for an experienced QA professional who can combine strong hands-on testing capability with the confidence to take ownership of quality across projects.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience within software testing / quality assurance
- Strong hands-on experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Experience working across full software implementation lifecycles
- Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration and UAT testing
- Experience managing defects and working closely with development teams
- Previous experience within a Microsoft Partner, consultancy or similar customer-facing environment
- Confident working with multiple stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practice
- Ability to take ownership of testing strategy and priorities
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience leading or mentoring other testers
- Test automation experience
- Playwright, EasyRepro or similar testing frameworks
- Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement
- Microsoft Power Platform
- Experience working with Azure DevOps
- Relevant testing / QA qualifications

SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary up to 75,000, depending on experience.
